If you're a parent whose ever missed a kid's game or event, there's a free app you can download to your phone to get all the highlights -- and it was created in Sacramento.
It's called Fantag and it works with high schools nationwide to give you instant replays and video highlights directly to your phone. Teams, schools, organizations pay a subscription and then users can share highlights, clips, replays and reels.
High school class focused on 'Jumbotron for your phone'
Whether at the youth level or high school level, capturing those special moments on the playing field has proved to be incredibly important to many. Now, sharing those moments is as easy as using an app installed on your smartphone.
"It's a vehicle to deliver all those great plays that you're already capturing to an audience who is really eager to get that content," said Brian Dombrowski, co-founder of Fantag.
Fantag gets nationwide high school sports broadcast partner

Center High School is among the first schools to incorporate patented technology as part of its curriculum for the school's broadcasting class to make school events more interactive for students, parents and fans.
Brina Jope's class was also one of the first to test the Fantag app within school settings.
